Fetal heart has a hole between right and left atria, called the foramen ovale, allowing oxygenated blood in right atrium to mix with blood leaving left ventricle, which is bound for aorta . 3. Oxygenated blood now in pulmonary artery will enter the ductus arteriosus , which connects pulmonary artery with aorta, cau sing blood to bypass the uninflated lungs . D.
